ASML Facility
ISO Class 5 Cleanroom
Working in state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities with advanced contamination control systems, maintaining the pristine environment required for semiconductor manufacturing equipment assembly.
Technical Experience Highlights
YieldStar Optical Metrology Platform
Worked on the YieldStar optical metrology platform, including the 375F, 380G, and 1385 systems. Sub-system assembly, optical alignment, functional testing, equipment calibration, station setup, and process development support.
Sensor and Branch Alignment
Sensor alignment, UIA alignment, focus branch, Z-stage installation, Pupil Branch, Alignment Branch, Reference Branch, cables and covers. Pre-qualifications and final qualifications including diffraction-based overlay measurements.
Cleanroom and Shift Discipline
Worked in a cleanroom environment under strict safety procedures and ASML 5S+1 requirements. Wore coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves for the entire duration of 12-hour night shifts.
Root Cause and 8D Workflows
Performed root cause analysis on production issues with the SAP system, Opti Angle, and YieldStar software. Partnered with engineering teams on structured 8D and corrective action workflows.
Wilton Site Context
The Wilton manufacturing site is one of ASML's main global manufacturing tech hubs, building wafer alignment sensors and DUV/EUV sub-systems. Work in the YieldStar department covered build, alignment, qualification, and diagnostics on production scanners destined for leading-edge semiconductor fabs.
The contamination, ESD, and tolerance discipline required is comparable to fab module qualification standards, and the cross-functional cadence between manufacturing and production engineering carries directly into the inspection and quality work performed today at General Dynamics Electric Boat.
