Inspection Responsibilities

Submarine Hull & Structural Inspection

Perform quality inspection on submarine hull and structural components for the Virginia and Columbia class submarine programs, working under DoD controlled technology protocols and naval shipbuilding quality standards.

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

Conduct Magnetic Particle Testing on welds and structural elements to detect surface and near-surface discontinuities.

Documentation & Standards

Traceable Quality Records

Document inspection results, dispositions, and discrepancies in traceable quality records aligned to Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) requirements and ISO 9001 quality system principles.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Partner with welders, fitters, manufacturing engineers, and quality engineers to drive root cause analysis and corrective action on inspection findings.

Role Context

This role complements prior production-floor work at ASML Wilton (semiconductor lithography) with structured naval-shipbuilding quality control NDT inspection experience. Together they cover both sides of the modern manufacturing-quality picture: high-mix precision sub-assembly under contamination and tolerance discipline on one side, and inspection of large structural assemblies under naval and ISO 9001 quality system principles on the other.
