Squeezing Spectral Analysis
Analyze frequency-dependent squeezing spectra, sideband modes, and detect squeezing at specific measurement frequencies
Frequency-Dependent Squeezing Spectrum
The squeezing spectrum describes how noise suppression varies with sideband frequency. For a resonator with linewidth κ:
S(Ω) = 1 - ηesc × 4Gκ² / [(κ + Γ)² + Ω²]
Where Ω = 2πf is the sideband frequency
Key spectral features:
- Zero-frequency squeezing: Maximum at Ω = 0
- 3 dB bandwidth: Half-power frequency ~ κ/2π
- Sideband modes: Correlated upper/lower sidebands
- Detection frequency: Typically 1-100 MHz for GW detectors
